What Lies Behind Success in Business?
In business, there are many factors that can ultimately affect a person’s experience of success or failure, but one key factor is hard work. Discipline to overcome laziness is a trait that most successful business people have in common. The will to persevere and fight through the general workplace malaise of complacency and procrastination can carry an individual quite a long distance in the business world, and within YOR Health as a corporate entity.
Ultimately, performance determines who rises to the top and who sinks to the bottom. And while there are multiple elements that factor into how performance is perceived, it is universally agreed upon that persevering in hard work will ultimately result in a high performance level.
There is very little about success that is left to chance. While the universe in a constant state of flux, and while individuals cannot control events (merely their responses to events), it is readily apparent that a person who works hard has a greater chance at being successful in business than a person who does not work very hard, even if the latter is more intelligent. Statistics – which all games of chance are based on – would certainly illustrate as much if this sort of data could be aggregated on a wide scale. YOR Health recognizes that this is indeed the case – its most successful distributors are generally also the hardest working. The company finds this connection to be quite meaningful.
Some people think that being successful in business is a crapshoot: that success in business is determined in a manner similar to rolling the dice. While there is certainly an element of good fortune involved in any opportunity that meets with success, blind luck is not the sole determining factor. In fact, the majority of successful business people share a few key traits in common – and good fortune oftentimes appears to be the least influential candidate. Success in YOR Health is no different.
The phrase “Work as though everything depends upon you and pray as though everything depends upon God” is relatively common, and the principles underlying the statement apply when examining what it takes to be successful in business. Viewing the statement from a secular lens, it might be translated to read: “Work as though everything depends upon your efforts but remain humble enough to know that you can only control a very small portion of the variables that ultimately influence success.” This is the approach that YOR Health distributors are encouraged to take.
